THE FOUNDATION The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lubbock is a non-profit corporation, established to provide endowments for the Diocese of Lubbock, its parishes, schools, agencies and organizations. The foundation encourages Catholics to be good Stewards through gifts of assets, and it provides for the investment of those assets and the distribution of the income to recipients while the principal remains untouched. Endowments through the Foundation are a means to greater financial stability and growth for our Diocese and its entities. ENDOWMENTS Endowments allow you to live on, through your good works, long after you have been born into eternity. They enable your final tithe to be a continuing legacy of what you value in this life. Creating an endowment is an act of Stewardship. It is an opportunity to return to God, intact, the gifts he has lavished upon you. Just as we have the opportunity to make gifts from our monthly income, we also have an opportunity to glorify God by giving from our accumulated assets which, when invested, provides income in perpetuity. The asset base grows through sound investment and from additional gifts; the principal is never spent, only the income. Endowments allow us to extend Stewardship beyond our lifetime. The Catholic Frontier Society is our way of honoring the Christian generosity of Catholic friends and benefactors who are providing for the future expansion of the Church in West Texas. |
