Emergency Assistance (Lubbock County)
Works to ease crises caused by lack of funds and difficulty in management through:
Help with food, shelter (rent or utilities) medications
Counseling and referral to deal with long-term solutions
Client reimbursement program - Medications (available to non-Lubbock County residents at Lubbock Office)
Health screening/ education services
United Way - sponsored program to assist low-income elderly persons with eye glasses, prescriptions, hearing aids, dentures and transportation.
